PAU CASALS’ SOUNDS, a new educational programme for schools For the school year 2009-2010, the Pau Casals Foundation presents a new educational programme for Primary School, free of charge and open to all, which is adapted to the Organic Act on Education (LOE). All the materials and resources of the programme ELS SONS DE PAU CASALS (Pau Casals’ Sounds) are accessible at the Foundation’s website: http://www.paucasals.org/...

PAU CASALS’ SOUNDS is an educational programme for Primary School which is based the discovery of the figure and work of Pau Casals through experimentation, perception and the enjoyment of compositions and performances of this brilliant Catalan musician, together with a brief look at his historic role in the promotion of peace. The programme fits into the plan of studies in the Artistic Education area and, more specifically, in the Music and Dance area, inter-relating with other areas of knowledge by making a significant contribution to various basic skills. The programme proposes four instructional units for each cycle (initial, intermediate and higher), with guidelines for teachers, educational resources and assessment criteria.

This educational programme has been developed by the Pau Casals Foundation and the firm Marinva Jocs i Educació, with the musical advice of Laura Folch and Lito Iglesias and the sponsorship of “La Caixa“ Foundation.

You can find information on the educational offering of the Pau Casals Museum for the school year 2009-2010 at the web page http://www.paucasals.org/... or by downloading the attached leaflet.
